A little Bit about me....
I am a very lucky person. I come from a very large family. My mother is one of six and my father is one of 15. I have 38 aunts and uncles and over 100 first cousins. My twin sister, Heather, and I were born on April 4, 1975 to Stephen J. Holzapfel and Sue Metzger Holzapfel. We were the first of four children. My sister, Heather, is a physical thearpist in Nashville. I have two other sisters Abby, who is a CPA and Morgan, a student. They both live in Nashville. I also have two brother-in-laws, Seth and Bryce.
I have a wonderful husband named Julian who is very kind and funny and makes everyday an adventure.
I have two beautiful, smart, spectacular children, Emma and Miles. Emma is 22 years old. She is outspoken and precious. She is a wonderful artisit and loves to make games and sing and dance. My son, Miles, is a sophomore in college. He is smart and funny and loves to play any sport. I also have a spunky step-daughter, Grace, who is in 2nd grade. She loves all things fairy and is quite a funny character. I have the most adorable grandson named Elliot who is the highlight of my day everyday. We also have a giant dog named Teddy who is a Great Pyranees but he thinks he is a lap dog.
The early years:
I attended Saint Henry's School, Christ the King School and Saint Bernard Academy for elementary and middle school and Saint Cecilia Acadmeny and Father Ryan Highschool for highschool. I attended Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi then went on to Aquinas College and finally graduated with a Bachelors in Science from Tennessee State University in 1999.
Teaching background:
I taught for three years at Grassland Middle School and then I taught at Belleuve Middle School Prep for 12 years. I took a few years off to teach at my step daugther's private school but am excited to be back in MNPS again. I have taught 5th, 7th 8th and college leveled students. I am thrilled to have your child in my class this year and look forward to a spectacular school year.
Hobbies:
I love to read mostly fiction, criminal mysteries or psychological thrillers. I like to spend time with my children- mainly playing games or watching movies with them. I try and surround myslef with friends and family as often as possible.
I am a very blessed person. I have an extrodianry family and fabulous friends. I work at the best school in Nashville with the most wonderful faculty and administration.
